I finally have my last few pictures for my Perennials book. While I was searching for hosta pictures, I ran across this neat illustration. It shows how to transplant a ginormous tree in the early 1900s.
The National Archives has scanned in a ton of old illustrations from the turn of the century, and since they are all in the public domain and out of copyright, I use them to illustrate my gardening books. I have a ton of pics on my Flickr page in my Favorites. I also find some real neat pics that aren’t garden related, too.
At any rate, my Perennials book is almost done. Finally!
The cover is *very* sunny.
So I’ll have a new book soon!!
