Young Adult Scavenger Hunt Spring 2019!!

If you’re looking to score some sweet book deals, find some swag, and meet new authors, you’re in the right place.

I’m on Team Green. Welcome!

Green Team

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt. This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors…and a chance to win some awesome prizes! On this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize–one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 120 hours.

Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are SIX contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the GREEN TEAM – but there is also a red team, a gold team, a green team, a purple team, and a pink team for a chance to win a whole different set of books.

If you’d like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page.

Today, I’m hosting JOSHUA DAVID BELLIN!

Find out more information by checking out the author website or find more about the author’s books here.

Joshua David Bellin has been writing novels since he was eight years old (though the first few were admittedly very short). A college teacher by day, he has published numerous works of fantasy and science fiction, including the two-part Survival Colony series and the Ecosystem Trilogy. In his free time, Josh likes to read, watch movies, and take long nature hikes with his kids. Oh, yeah, and he likes monsters. Really scary monsters.

No lie. He’ll do it.
Joshua’s latest book is ECOSYSTEM.

Seventeen-year-old Sarah is a Sensor, gifted with the ability to survive within the sentient Ecosystem that swept away human civilization centuries ago. While the remnants of humankind huddle in small villages of stone, Sarah uses her psychic connection to the Ecosystem to travel freely in the wild in search of food, water, and fuel. Sarah doesn’t fear the Ecosystem—but she hates it for killing her mother when Sarah was a child. When she hunts, she hunts not only for her people’s sustenance but for revenge.

Then Miriam, an apprentice Sensor, is lost in the Ecosystem, and Sarah sets out to rescue her. Joining Sarah is Isaac, a boy who claims to possess knowledge of the Ecosystem that will help their people survive. The harrowing journey to find the missing apprentice takes Sarah and Isaac into the Ecosystem’s deadliest places. And it takes Sarah into the unexplored territory of her own heart, where she discovers feelings that threaten to tear her—and her society—apart.

A thrilling fantasy adventure from the author of the Survival Colony series, ECOSYSTEM is the first book in a trilogy that includes THE DEVOURING LAND and HOUSE OF EARTH, HOUSE OF STONE.

Here is what he has to say about the snazzy Ecosystem cover below —

“The design company that creates my covers for the Ecosystem trilogy starts out by producing two drafts based on my notes. For the first book in the series, titled Ecosystem, I requested a high-angle shot of a forest, with the gem that plays a key role in the story superimposed over the sky. But the design team also produced an alternative version that zooms into the forest and features a different gem design. Ultimately, I opted for the cover that more closely aligned with my original vision, but I love this one too, and I’m happy the YA Scavenger Hunt gives me a chance to share!”

Here is cover #2 —
